Register for Thea's beautiful and exclusive Sturbridge Needlework Box Set. You can live chat and stitch along with other needlework enthusiasts from all over the world as  Thea guides you with step by step instructions and video how-to's; sharing her hints, tricks, and other in depth needlework knowledge. You will love laughing and talking together as you learn and stitch together!

Thea's engaging and fun teaching session will be recorded and saved, so you can view them throughout the class.  So if your time zone is an awkward fit or you have other things to do during the actual class time, you will still be able to access it, as well as all the up close visual instructions!  Enjoy live chat with your fellow students during class.

The Webcast Class includes:

1. Two online webcast lessons with Thea, with hints, tricks and other in-depth needlework  knowledge - all live from her studio in Victoria, B.C. Canada 
2. A live moderated chat group so you can chat to your fellow students in real time
3. Both days' class videos, and the stitch and finishing videos accessible to all for the duration of the class
4.  Full Student Kit with Student Notes, perle cotton, metallic braids, Gloriana and Waterlilies overdyed silk threads, many silk flosses, gorgeous golden linen for all pieces and accessories, olde Sturbridge Red fabric for finishing, black lining fabric, and detailed stitching and finishing instructions, colour photos and diagrams.
5. Membership in the Stitcherama Yahoo Group for help during and after class ends.

About your Sturbridge Box Project...

This beautiful Box is inspired by the Olde Sturbridge Village inspired fabric you see on the sides. The gorgeous lid top is fully embroidered. When the lid is removed, the sides of the box drop down and show the interior with places for your needlework tools! Thea has used some delectable overdyed silks, silk flosses, and beads. Be prepared for a few new stitches, and enjoy the Cross Stitched areas too. The finishing is easy, if you follow Lisa’s detailed directions and coloured photos.. enjoy!  

For this learning design, you will learn and practice Petit Cross, Lazy Daisy Stitches, Plait Stitches, Eyelets, French Knots, Backstitching, Queen Stitches, Partial Diamond Eyelets, Satin Stitches, Modified Star Stitches, Four Sided Stitches, and all the Finishing for the projects.. Getting excited?

Level - Intermediate  (should be familiar with working on even weave linen and want to learn some free form embroidery in a safe and counted environment)

Other Supplies you may need: We suggest you mount your linen on a set of roller frames, Q-snaps, a lap frame or standing frame. If you use roller bars, please make sure that they are at least 1" wider than the width of your cut material. You will receive a piece of 28ct Cashel Linen - 9” wide x 25” high.  Other tools needed are  a set of sharp scissors with fine blades, extra tapestry needles, doodle cloth for practice. After stitching your linen, you will need some extra finishing supplies, like sewing thread interfacing etc.) to finish your project as shown in your Student Kit finishing instructions. We will also supply a layout for cutting your linen, and a prework guide.
