The Webcast Class includes:

1. Two online webcast lessons with Thea, with hints, tricks and other in-depth needlework  knowledge - all live from her studio in Victoria. 2. A live moderated chat group so you can chat to your fellow students in real time
3. Both days class videos, and the stitch and finishing videos accessible to all for the duration of the class
4. Full Student Kit with overdyed silk threads, beads, buttons, gorgeous antique dyed linen for all pieces and accessories, aqua damask fabric for finishing, (lining not included) and detailed stitching and finishing instructions, colour photos and diagrams
5. Membership in a Stitcherama Yahoo Group for help during and after class ends.

About your Happy Hearts Sweet Bag and Tools Project

The “Happy Hearts Sweet Bag and Smalls” is such a beautiful and practical project!  The verse perfectly  describes our gratitude for the joy that we have in our needlework, as well as all the friendships formed in our gatherings. Inside there is a matching Biscornu pincushion, and a delicate Scissors Case and Fob to enhance your beautiful embroidery scissors. They fit neatly in the pockets, along with your flosses, scissors, needles and pins. The floral Elizabethan vine climbs all over the outside of the sweet bag curling around the specialty stitches. Finally, at the end of this leaflet, you’ll find a gorgeous step by step finishing guide to help you finish your own sweet bag like Lisa did. You will be proud to use this elegant set at your next meeting or gathering! :) 

For this learning design, you will learn and practice Queen Stitches, Lazy Daisies, Plait Stitches, Upright Crosses and Rice Stitches, Beaded Interlaced Hemstitching, Zig Zag Stitches, Diamond Eyelets, French Knots, Spider Web Roses, Arrowhead Stitches, Double Herringbone Hemstitching, Three Sided Eyelets, Four Sided Stitches, Bargellow, Montenegrin Stitches, Bullion Knots, Hardanger Diamond with Whipped Spider Web Filling Stitches,  Serpentine Hemstitches, and all the Finishing for the projects.. Getting excited?

Level - Intermediate  (should be familiar with working on even weave linen and want to learn some free form embroidery in a safe and counted environment)

Other Supplies you may need: We suggest you mount your linen on a set of roller frames, Q-snaps, a lap frame or standing frame. If you use roller bars, please make sure that they are at least 1" wider than the width of your cut material. You will receive a piece of 28ct Vintage Cashel Linen - 11” wide x 45” high. Other tools include a set of sharp scissors with fine blades, extra tapestry, straw or beading needles. After stitching your linen, you will need finishing materials to finish your project as shown in your Student Kit finishing instructions.
