Register for Thea's beautiful and exclusive Sturbridge Box Webcast class. You can live chat and stitch along with other needlework enthusiasts from all over
the world using step by step videos, sharing hints, tricks. You will love laughing
and talking together as you learn and stitch at home! If your time zone is an awkward
fit or you have other things to do during class time, you will still be able to
access the recordings and videos till the end of class!
The Webcast-only Class includes:
1. Two online webcast lessons, held on Saturdays 2 weeks apart,
with Thea live from her studio in Victoria, B.C. Canada
2. A live moderated chat window to talk
to your fellow students in real time
3. All video sessions are accessible for the duration of the class
4. Finishing Pack with 2 different fabrics: Sturbridge
Box Scarlet Reproduction fabric and Black lining fabric for inside, and needles, plus red wool for needlecase.
in the Stitcherama Yahoo Group for help during and
after class ends.

About your Sturbridge
This beautiful Box is inspired by the Olde Sturbridge Village
inspired fabric you see on the sides. The gorgeous lid top is fully embroidered with a scene showing the Main Town CommonRegister for Thea's beautiful and exclusive
Sturbridge Box Webcast class with everything included! Attend and
stitch along with other needlework enthusiasts from all over the world using step
by step videos, sharing hints, tricks. You will love laughing and talking together
as you learn and stitch at home!
If your time zone is an awkward fit or you have other things to do during class
time, you will still be able to access the recordings and videos for 3 weeks!s,
and even includes the meeting hall, blacksmith's shop, and bank! When the lid is
removed, the sides of the box drop down and show the interior with places for your
needlework tools! I’ve used some delectable overdyed silks, silk flosses, and beads. Be prepared for a few new stitches, and enjoy the Cross Stitched
areas too. The finishing is easy, if you follow Lisa’s detailed directions and coloured photos..
In addition to the finishing techniques, you will also find clear and easy instructions
and step by step photos to make your own cording and simple tassels and how to attach
them to your lovely creations!
For this learning design, you will learn and practice Straight Stitch, Lazy Daisy Stitches, Cross Stitches, Eyelet Stitches, Four Sided Stitch,
Herringbone Plait Stitches, Backstitches, French Knots, and all the Finishing for the projects.. Getting excited?
Intermediate (should be familiar with working on even weave linen and want to learn some free form embroidery
in a safe and counted environment)
Other Supplies needed:
F10 Sturbridge Box Leaflet has 14 pages of detailed charts, diagrams, colour photos,
and excellent directions, so you can complete your stitching before finishing.
F10LP Sturbridge Box Linen Pack contains a 9 x 25 piece of Golden Sand 30ct Cashel Linen. We suggest you mount your linen
on a set of roller frames, Q-snaps, a lap frame or standing frame. If you use roller
bars, please make sure that they are at least 1" wider than the width of your cut
F10P Sturbridge Box Accessory Pack contains
all the overdyed silk flosses, silk flosses, silk ribbons, sparkling beads, and
butterfly charm. We suggest you mount your linen on a set of roller frames, Q-snaps,
a lap frame or standing frame. If you use roller bars, please make sure that they
are at least 1" wider than the width of your cut material.
Suggested Finishing Materials needed are: 1 spool of cotton sewing thread to match
box fabric, 1/8th yard of iron-on Fleece Pellon, 1/4 yd - Fleece Pellon or Thin
Cotton Quilter's Batting, 1/4 yd of HIgh loft Polyester Quilt Batting, 2 inch round
measuring tape (found at fabric store or Michaels', 4 ply Mat Board to construct
top x 4, Freezer paper, Straight pins, Aileen's Tacky Glue and regular white school
glue, paper and fabric scissors, rotary cutter and cutting mat, iron.
